活: Saliva, the God water!

A week ago, I talked about the Chinese word “Dao 道”, today, I am inspired to talk about another interesting word “活”. Look it up in dictionaries, it means “live”. But if looking at its radicals, we found “千口水”, directly translate, it’s “thousand”, “mouth”, “water”. Interesting? This is the miracle of ancient Chinese culture and language.

In modern medicine theories, body fluid helps to improve gastrointestinal digestive function and kill oral bacteria. Saliva contains natural anti-cancer factors, which is a gift from God. If you have conditions in your body that encourage the growth of cancer cells, saliva can threaten or even kill them.

Since ancient times, Chinese medicine has attached great importance to saliva regimen. They gave saliva a lot of reputation, such as “manna “, “God water”, “longevity wine” and so on.

– “Put the tongue against the palate, swallow.”
– “300 sips of saliva a day will keep you alive to 99”

Sun Simiao, a Chinese physician and writer of the Sui and Tang dynasty, who has lived for 101 years, devoted a lot of time to describing this way of keeping in good health in his book “Qian Jin Fang” 《千金方》

Wish you every day a very healthy new day, my friends. And stay positive!

Good Saturday morning! 💧☕🌞🌷💧
